Dr. Logan Augustine has been in the dental field for about a decade, and she enjoys building relationships with patients, focusing on helping them feel comfortable while understanding their dental needs. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Augustine originally pursued a path in healthcare while studying Nutrition Science at Texas A&M University. During that time, she took a job in the front office at an oral surgery practice, which introduced her to the field of dentistry in a new way. Seeing how general dentists collaborate with specialists and how much patient education plays a role sparked her interest in the profession. She later transitioned into assisting, worked in oral surgery for several years, and eventually decided to pursue dental school to become a general dentist.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Augustine earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science from Texas A&M University before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston. She spent several years gaining hands-on experience in oral surgery and later practiced dentistry in private practice before joining our team.
Today, she remains dedicated to continuing education to refine her skills, and she is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When she isn’t at the dental practice, Dr. Augustine enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also a dentist, and their two dogs. They are expecting their first child on Christmas of 2026, making it an exciting season for their family. She also enjoys traveling, reading, taking care of her plants, and listening to country music. One fun fact about her: she’s the first doctor in her family!
