That means that there\u2019s no shortage of issues that people can have with their smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, maybe you\u2019re someone who feels like your teeth are a little bit \u201csmall,\u201d or like they don\u2019t quite fit the rest of your mouth. It might sound strange, but you actually aren\u2019t alone\u2014 there are actually a few reasons why this could be the case, and quite a few treatments you could use to help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Do My Teeth Seem Small?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The formal term for teeth that are smaller than average is \u201cmicrodontia,\u201d and it can affect anywhere from a few teeth to your whole smile. Its severity and the number of teeth affected come down to several factors, many of which depend on what\u2019s causing the issue in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In many instances, small teeth are genetic. If you\u2019ve found that your adult teeth have always seemed too small, odd are that they\u2019re naturally that shape, and that you may have a family history of microdontia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In some instances, they may also be a symptom of another disorder, like a cleft palate or radiation exposure during development. In some cases, you\u2019re likely to also be missing a fair number of teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, teeth may sometimes be worn down over time. This is most common in people who chronically grind their teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Can Be Done About Small Teeth?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As it turns out, there are plenty of things that can be done to lengthen your teeth. First there\u2019s direct bonding, which involves coating the tooth in a pale composite resin that changes its appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may also be interested in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pasadenafamilydentistry.com\/veneers.html\">veneers<\/a>, which are small porcelain shards that can cover the teeth completely, changing everything from their size to their alignment with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While there are plenty of cosmetic issues out there, there are also plenty of treatments that can help you.
