It might sound strange, but you actually aren&rsquo;t alone&mdash; there are actually a few reasons why this could be the case, and quite a few treatments you could use to help.<\/p><!--more--><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Do My Teeth Seem Small?<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The formal term for teeth that are smaller than average is &ldquo;microdontia,&rdquo; and it can affect anywhere from a few teeth to your whole smile. Its severity and the number of teeth affected come down to several factors, many of which depend on what&rsquo;s causing the issue in the first place.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In many instances, small teeth are genetic. If you&rsquo;ve found that your adult teeth have always seemed too small, odd are that they&rsquo;re naturally that shape, and that you may have a family history of microdontia.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In some instances, they may also be a symptom of another disorder, like a cleft palate or radiation exposure during development. In some cases, you&rsquo;re likely to also be missing a fair number of teeth.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, teeth may sometimes be worn down over time. This is most common in people who chronically grind their teeth.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Can Be Done About Small Teeth?<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As it turns out, there are plenty of things that can be done to lengthen your teeth. First there&rsquo;s direct bonding, which involves coating the tooth in a pale composite resin that changes its appearance.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may also be interested in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pasadenafamilydentistry.com\/veneers.html\">veneers<\/a>, which are small porcelain shards that can cover the teeth completely, changing everything from their size to their alignment with each other.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While there are plenty of cosmetic issues out there, there are also plenty of treatments that can help you.
